San Antonio vaulted into the Western semifinals Tuesday, riding Tony Parker's 31 points to a 92-87 win over Phoenix in Game 5 of their quarterfinal series.
Parker also had eight assists in the victory, which puts San Antonio in the Western semifinals for the eighth straight year. San Antonio will face the second-seeded New Orleans Hornets, who completed a five-game series victory over the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday.
The Spurs also got 29 points and 17 rebounds from Tim Duncan went for 29 points and 17 rebounds.
San Antonio wound up winning the game at the free-throw line, making 24 of 30 compared to the Suns' 20-of-37 performance.
Phoenix, which was eliminated by the Spurs for the second straight season, was led by Boris Diaw's 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Amare Stoudemire added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
