Posted on: Saturday, 21 June 2008, 18:00 CDT

Jim Edmonds hit two solo homers in a nine-run fourth inning Saturday to boost the Chicago Cubs past the Chicago White Sox 11-6.

The Cubs erased a 4-1 deficit in the inter-league contest with their biggest inning this season.

Mike Fontenot also hit a solo homer and Aramis Ramirez followed his game-winning solo shot Friday with a three-run homer to cap the outburst.

Ramirez finished with four RBI. Five players knocked in one run apiece.

Eric Patterson had three hits, while four players had two hits, including starting and winning pitcher Jason Marquis (6-3).

The Cubs have won two in a row following three straight losses at Tampa Bay and 13 in a row at Wrigley Field.

The White Sox' Jermaine Dye and DeWayne Wise both hit two-run homers. Dye added an RBI single.

A.J. Pierzynski had one RBI, while Carlos Quentin had three hits in the White Sox' eight straight road loss.

The losing pitcher was starter Jose Contreras (6-6).
