NHL: Vancouver 3, Minnesota 2
November 20, 2008
Daniel Sedin finished off a Vancouver comeback with his eighth goal of the season Friday, lifting the Canucks past Minnesota 3-2.
Sedin scored with 8:19 to play and Curtis Sanford was perfect the rest of the way while completing a 28-save effort.
Pavol Demitra, who spent the previous two seasons with Minnesota before signing as a free agent with Vancouver, had a goal and an assist. Vancouver won for the sixth time in eight games and the two losses in that stretch have come in overtime.
Mikko Koivu scored both of the Minnesota goals, the second one shorthanded to give the Wild a 2-1 lead with 5:38 to go in the second.
Demitra tied it less than two minutes later on the power play.
