Ville Peltonen scored two goals Monday night to lead the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 victory over Carolina.
David Booth also scored for the Panthers. Tomas Vokoun made 27 saves for the victory.
Tuomo Ruutu and Chad LaRose scored for Carolina. Sergei Samsonov had two assists and Michael Leighton allowed three goals on 22 shots in the loss.
