Miguel Angel Jimenez and Pablo Larrazabal combined to shoot 9-under-par 63 Friday and give Spain a four-stroke lead after 36 holes at the World Cup of Golf.

The event is being played at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, China. After Friday’s foursomes, Spain’s 36-hole total is 17-under 127 following an 8-under 64 in Thursday’s fourball or best-ball format.

We complemented very well today on the golf course, Jimenez said. We didn’t have any mistakes, except at hole 15 where we made a bogey. Apart from that we played well. We enjoyed ourselves and that is very important.

The tandem of Martin Kaymer and Alex Cejka (69) of Germany, the overnight leader, and Australia’s Brendan Jones and Richard Green (68) share second place at 13-under 131.

Sweden, which has sixth-ranked Robert Karlsson and 12th-ranked Henrik Stenson, shot 5-under 67 Friday and is alone in fourth at 12-under 132.

Defending champion Scotland is 17th at 3-under 141 after a 1-over 73 Friday.
