Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis touched off a 20-4 run in the third quarter, boosting Orlando to a 100-89 triumph over Minnesota.
Both Lewis and Dwight Howard had 23 points for the Magic, and Howard also contributed 14 rebounds. Turkoglu added 22 and Orlando won its fifth game in six outings by making 57 percent of its shots from the field.
Al Jefferson scored 19 to lead Minnesota, which has lost three straight.
Orlando owned a six-point lead at the break and quickly had its advantage trimmed to 44-42 on two straight jumpers by Ryan Gomes.
Turkoglu then made a field goal and Lewis hit a three-pointer to start the big surge that broke open the game.
