NBA: San Antonio 109, Dallas 104

Posted on: Sunday, 14 December 2008, 20:36 CST

A three-point play by Manu Ginobili with 23 seconds remaining gave San Antonio a five-point lead Sunday and the Spurs held off Oklahoma City 109-104.

The Spurs led by 20 after one period and by 18 at halftime, but still had to sweat out their sixth straight victory.

Kevin Durant's layup with 29 seconds to play brought the Thunder within two points, but Ginobili quickly broke free for a layup and was fouled by Desmond Mason. Ginobili's ensuing free throw was the final point of the game.

Oklahoma City has lost seven in a row after winning its second game of the season.

Despite the lowly record, the Thunder lost by a combined nine point to the Spurs and Dallas Mavericks in the space of 24 hours.

Tony Parker scored 22 points to lead San Antonio and Tim Duncan had 20.

Oklahoma City was paced by 33 points from Jeff Green and 28 from Durant.
