Andrew Raycroft made 34 saves Monday night to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 3-2 victory over Detroit.
Jordan Leopold scored on a penalty shot and assisted on another and Wojtek Wolski and Paul Stastny each scored first-period goals for the Avalanche, who have won three of their last four games.
Raycroft, seeing his first action in more than two weeks blocked 27-of-29 shots over the final two periods.
Marian Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom scored for the Red Wings, who have lost two of their last three games — but those two losses are their only losses so far this month. Chris Osgood yielded three goals on 27 shots.
