Jon Scheyer scored 23 points and Gerald Henderson had 19 Saturday when the sixth-ranked Duke Blue Devils beat seventh-ranked Xavier 82-64.
Kyle Singler added nine points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocked shots for Duke (10-1).
Derrick Brown scored 18 points and B.J. Raymond 10 for previously unbeaten Xavier (9-1), which was trying to match the best start in school history. The 1996-97 team opened with 10 victories.
Duke led 18-1 after a pair of three-pointers from Scheyer and opened a 22-3 cushion before the game was 5 minutes old.
