NBA: Boston 124, New York 105
Rajon Rondo’s 26 points led the Boston Celtics to their 18th straight win Sunday, a 124-105 decision over the New York Knicks.
Boston raced to a 40-21 advantage after the first quarter and held off the Knicks, who got within six points late in the third.
Ray Allen tallied 18 points and Paul Pierce 17 for Boston, which will try to set a franchise record for consecutive wins Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
New York’s Quentin Richardson was the top scorer in the game with 29 points. Nate Robinson added 23 points and Chris Duhon had 20 for the Knicks.
