NBA: San Antonio 99, Minnesota 93

The San Antonio Spurs rode Tony Parker’s 36 points to a 99-93 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday.


Parker also had eight assists as the Spurs dealt Minnesota its 13th loss in a row. He went 13-of-17 from the field.


Tim Duncan added 19 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots in the Spurs’ third straight win.


Minnesota got 28 points from Al Jefferson and 26 from Randy Foy, who also had 16 rebounds.


The Timberwolves are now 4-23, with only Oklahoma City (3-26) having a worse record.


San Antonio let Minnesota get with 91-88 on a Jefferson jumper inside the 3-minute mark but Duncan answered with a layup and the Spurs held on the rest of the way.


San Antonio led 30-21 after the first quarter, 48-40 at the half and 83-67 going into the final quarter.
