Terrence Oglesby’s 25 points Tuesday carried the 16th-ranked Clemson Tigers to a 98-87 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks.
K.C. Rivers had 20 points, and Trevor Booker added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the unbeaten Tigers (13-0).
Devan Downey had 37 points and Zam Fredrick added 19 points for the Gamecocks (9-2), who had a five-game winning streak stopped.
The Gamecocks started the game by scoring the first eight points — four of which were from Downey — and South Carolina extended that lead to 11 points, 14-3, in the first 4 minutes of the game.
