COL BKB: Illinois 71, Purdue 67 (OT)
The Illinois Fighting Illini used a balanced attack led by Mike Tisdale’s 18 points Tuesday to upset the 11th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers 71-67 in overtime.
Alex Legion and Mike Davis each had 12 points for the Illini (13-1, 1-0 Big Ten), who have won seven straight games. Trent Meacham added 11 points and Demetri McCamey 10.
E’Twaun Moore scored 17 points for Purdue (11-3, 0-1), which had a six-game win streak end. JaJuan Johnson, who had 16 points and 15 rebounds, had a chance to win the game at the foul line in the final seconds of regulation, but came up short.
Lewis Jackson scored 11 points and Robbie Hummel had 11 rebounds in the loss.
