Dwight Howard had 15 points and 15 rebounds Friday night to lead the Orlando Magic past Miami 86-76.
It was Howard's ninth consecutive double-double.
Rashard Lewis had 17 points and Jameer Nelson scored 16 for the Magic, who have won nine straight at home and nine of their last 10 games overall.
The Heat's Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 33 points. Earlier in the day, Wade was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December.
Udonis Haslem had 12 points and eight rebounds for Miami, which came into the game with five wins in its last six games.
Orlando took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. Miami went almost five minutes in the fourth without hitting a shot from the field, and the Heat only trailed by four with 5 1/2 minutes to play -- but the Magic went on a 10-2 run to turn a 76-72 lead into an 86-84 advantage with less than a minute left.
