COL BKB: UCLA 83, Oregon 74

Darren Collison's 22 points and nine assists Sunday fueled ninth-ranked UCLA's 83-74 Pac-10 Conference victory over Oregon.

The Bruins scored the game's first four points and expanded their lead to 40-29 by halftime.

A three-pointer by Kamyron Brown cut UCLA's lead to just 51-48 with 12:40 left in the second stanza, but Oregon got no closer.

Josh Shipp scored 17 points, while Alfred Aboya and Nikola Dragovic scored 12 points each for the Bruins (12-2, 2-0), who have beaten the Ducks the last four times the schools have met. Sunday's win was UCLA's eighth in a row.

Tajuan Porter led Oregon with 24 points and four rebounds.

Joevan Catron had 13 points, seven assists and four rebounds, while LeKendrick Longmire added 10 points with three rebounds for the Ducks (6-8, 0-2), who have split their last four contests.

UCLA shot 54.3 percent (25-of-46) from the field to 45.3 percent (24-of-53) for the Ducks.
