NBA: New Jersey 100, Memphis 89
Vince Carter led the way with 25 points and 12 assists Wednesday, carrying New Jersey to a 100-89 victory over Memphis.
Devin Harris, the Nets' leading scorer with 23.1 points per game, sat out with a strained right hamstring.
Memphis, losers of six out of seven, got 26 points from O.J. Mayo and 23 from Rudy Gay.
New Jersey held a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter and Memphis could not mount a challenge. The Nets built their advantage to 14 with 4 minutes to go.
