TCU football Coach Garry Patterson has been given a contract extension through 2014, the university announced Thursday.
Patterson has compiled a record of 73-27 in eight years with the Horned Frogs. His 2008 team was 11-2 and defeated Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl.
Gary's outstanding record speaks for itself, and we want him to be in Fort Worth and at TCU for a long time,
Athletic Director Danny Morrison said. The fact that his contract extensions over the years have been agreed upon with regularity illustrate the momentum in the program and his commitment to this university and community.
Patterson said the school's administration has provided the resources and support to have a football program that makes TCU proud.
