Sophomore All-American wide receiver Jeremy Maclin announced Friday he will leave the Missouri Tigers and enter the 2009 NFL Draft.

Maclin made the expected announcement after meeting with Tigers head coach Gary Pinkel and assistant coach/wide receivers Andy Hill.

The two-time All-American had an outstanding year as a sophomore, leading the nation in all-purpose yardage — with 2,833 yards — the fifth-most in NCAA history.

Maclin also scored 17 touchdowns, 13 of them receiving, two rushing and one each on a kickoff return and on a punt return while helping the Tigers to their second consecutive Big 12 championship game — won by Oklahoma. He caught 102 passes for 1,260 yards this season.
