Geoff Ogilvy fired a 5-under-par 68 Sunday and won the PGA's season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship in Kapalua, Hawaii, by six shots.
Ogilvy started the final round with a couple of bogeys on the Plantation Course but eagled the ninth hole and made five birdies on the back nine to finish the tournament at 24-under 268.
The Australian player said winning the first event of the year is really, really nice and it gives me a great feeling for the rest of the year.
Ogilvy won $1.1 million.
Anthony Kim eagled the final hole for a 67 to share second place at 18-under 274 with Davis Love III, who also shot a 67.
