Tim Tebow, quarterback of the national champion Florida Gators, had arthroscopic surgery on his non-throwing shoulder Monday.

The team’s physician, Dr. Pete Indelicato, said Tebow will be able to throw again in three or four weeks and should make a full recovery.

Tebow, who had chronic inflammation in his right shoulder after being injured last year and aggravating it early this past season, had a bone spur removed at Shands Florida Surgical Center.

The Gators beat Oklahoma 24-14 victory in the BCS title game last Thursday. Tebow threw for 231 yards with a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 109 yards.

The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner finished third in the Heisman voting this past season.

The left-hander said Sunday he will return to Florida for his senior season.
