Raymond Felton, subject of recent trade rumors, hit a jumper with less than a second to play Tuesday, handing Charlotte an 80-78 win over Detroit.

Detroit had a seven-point advantage with less than 5 minutes to play, but Felton was perfect in five field goal attempts during the final quarter and finished with 23 points.

Detroit, meanwhile, missed its last eight shots. The concluding one came from Allen Iverson, who failed in his bid to hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.

Felton’s deciding basket came after Detroit’s Rasheed Wallace was called for an offensive foul that brought loud protests from the Pistons’ bench.

Felton then hit a fadeaway jumper from just right of the key that went through the basket with 0.7 of a second remaining.

Charlotte has reportedly been in trade discussions involving Felton. Dallas center DeSagana Diop was held out of a recent game amid rumors he was about to be traded for Felton, but that deal did not materialize.

Gerald Wallace added 18 points for Charlotte and Rodney Stucky led Detroit with 22.
