Bartolo Colon returns to White Sox

The Chicago White Sox announced the signing Thursday of pitcher Bartolo Colon, who played for the team in 2003 and later won the AL Cy Young award.
The 35-year-old Colon was signed to a one-year contract, the team said.
Colon was 15-13 with the Chicago ballclub in 2003. Two years later, with the Los Angeles Angels, he won 21 games and the Cy Young award, which goes to the league’s top pitcher.
Colon had a record of 11-15 from 2006 through 2008. He pitched for Boston last season, starting only seven games.
In 12 major-league seasons, Colon has pitched for five teams, including Cleveland and Montreal. His career record is 150-97.
