Kenyon Martin scored five points in overtime Thursday and his three-pointer with 27 seconds remaining secured the Denver Nuggets’ 119-113 victory over Phoenix.

The Nuggets had made just 5-of-22 shots from three-point range when J.R. Smith hit one from beyond the arc with 1:21 to play in the fourth quarter that tied the game.

Neither team could score the rest of the way in regulation. Denver produced the first four points of overtime on its way to a second straight victory.

Martin’s three-point shot at the 27-second mark gave the Nuggets a 115-109 lead.

Chauncey Billups led Denver with 26 points. Martin had 24 and Linas Kleiza had 19.

Grant Hill scored 25 to pace Phoenix, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.
