Goran Suton was No. 10 Michigan State’s top scorer with 12 points Saturday in a 63-57 triumph over Illinois that extended the Spartans’ win streak to 11 games.
A basket by Ramar Morgan and a free throw by Delvon Roe gave Michigan State a six-point lead with 3:45 to play and the Spartans held on for the victory.
Marquise Gray added 11 points and Kalin Lucas had 10 for Michigan State (15-2, 5-0 Big Ten).
The Spartans have won 28 consecutive games at home.
Alex Legion put up 15 points and Calvin Brock tallied 13 for the Fighting Illini (15-3, 3-2).
