NHL: N.Y. Islanders 2, Anaheim 1
Johnny Oduya and Zach Parise both had one goal and one assist Wednesday to lead the New Jersey Devils' 2-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
McLean's first goal this season gave New York an insurmountable 2-0 lead with 14:35 left in the first period.
Kyle Okposo's seventh season goal (power play) had given New York a 1-0 lead with 2:38 left in the first.
Netminder Yann Dannis made 38 saves on 39 shots, while Frans Nielsen assisted on both goals for the Islanders, who stopped their eight-game losing streak.
They had not won since a 4-2 victory against the Florida Panthers on Dec. 31.
Anaheim averted a shutout on Bobby Ryan's 15th (power play) at 16:45 of the second.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere gave up two goals on seven shots in the first period before he was replaced by backup Jonas Hiller, who stopped the seven shots he faced in the Ducks' fourth loss in their final five games before this weekend's all-star break.
