Gerald Henderson scored a team-high 17 points Saturday and second-ranked Duke went on to maul Maryland 85-44, the Terrrapins’ worst loss ever.
Following a 40-15 halftime advantage, Duke began the second half with a 23-8 spurt and maintained its dominance throughout.
Duke’s biggest lead was 68-24 on Lance Thomas’s layup with 12:11 left.
Henderson added eight rebounds, four assists and two steals before he went to the bench with 6 minutes remaining.
Duke has won 15 games by double digits this season.
Jon Scheyer scored 12 with five rebounds and three assists. Kyle Singler scored 11 with seven rebounds, while a total of 10 players scored for the Blue Devils (18-1, 5-0 ACC), who likely will be the nation’s top-ranked team next week.
Landon Milbourne led Maryland with 19 points and five rebounds.
No other player scored in double figures for the Terrapins (13-6, 2-3), who shot just 28.5 percent from the floor and committed 17 turnovers.
