Daequan Cook and Michael Beasley warmed up in the second half Wednesday and helped Miami pull away for a 93-71 whipping of Washington.
The game was tied midway through the third quarter, but the Heat outscored the Wizards the rest of the way 43-21.
Cook and Beasley both scored 16 points, boosting a Miami attack that produced only a 39 percent shooting effort overall. Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem had 14 each for Miami, which won its third straight game.
The Heat climbed to a season-best six games above the .500 mark.
Washington, which has dropped four in a row, was led by Antawn Jamison with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
