NBA: Memphis 85, New Orleans 80

Rookie O.J. Mayo had 22 points and 16 rebounds Monday night to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to an 85-80 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

Mike Conley added 18 points and eight assists for the Grizzlies, who have won four of their last five games. Hakim Warrick had 15 points and 14 rebounds for Memphis, which set a franchise-record with 64 rebounds.

Peja Stojakovic had 23 points to lead the Hornets, who were without the services of two all-stars. Point guard Chris Paul was inactive for the fourth straight game with a strained right groin, and forward David West served a one-game suspension for committing a flagrant foul Sunday.
