NBA: Toronto 91, San Antonio 89
Roko Ukic put Toronto in front with 21 seconds remaining Wednesday and the Raptors held on for a surprising 91-89 triumph over San Antonio.
Ukic scored a career-high 22 points, who go into the All-Star break on a two-game winning streak.
Andrea Bargnani added 23 points for the Raptors and Jason Kapono had 21.
Ukic’s jump shot gave Toronto a 90-89 advantage, after which San Antonio missed a chance to regain the lead when Manu Ginobili could not convert a layup attempt with 10 seconds left.
Toronto’s Jermaine O’Neal was fouled with 8 seconds to play, but he made only one free throw for a 91-89 lead. Tony Parker’s jump shot at the buzzer missed.
The Raptors were without forward Chris Bosh (sprained knee) for the fourth straight game.
Ginobili equaled a season high with 32 points, 15 of which came in the opening quarter. The Spurs lost for just the second time in eight games.
