Ilya Bryzgalov made 33 saves to record his third shutout of the season Wednesday and bring Phoenix a 1-0 decision over Dallas.
The game’s only goal came from Enver Lisin 2:19 into the second period. Stars goalie Marty Turco stopped the other 28 shots he saw.
Phoenix halted a six-game losing streak, which equaled its longest of the season.
Bryzgalov bounced back from a struggling effort against Carolina on Saturday, in which he allowed four goals on 28 shots and was removed after two periods. He has eight shutouts in four full seasons with the Coyotes.
Dallas lost for only the second time in nine games. The Stars had produced 14 goals in their previous two games.
