NBA: Portland 94, Memphis 90
Brandon Roy scored the last two of his 24 points from the foul line with 3 seconds to play Wednesday, securing Portland’s 94-90 win over Memphis.
Portland led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter, but could not shake the Grizzlies despite their lowly road record. Memphis was seeking only its fourth road victory of the year.
Roy gave the Trail Blazers a four-point lead on a layup with 1:23 to go and neither side could score again until O.J. Mayo brought Memphis within two with 10 seconds to play.
Roy’s foul shots then clinched the win, boosting the Trail Blazers’ home record this season to 21-5.
LaMarcus Aldridge added 15 points for Portland. Rudy Gay led Memphis with 20 and May had 19.
