February 19, 2009

Kobe Bryant scored 30 points Wednesday and the Los Angeles Lakers closed the game with a rush to defeat Golden State 129-121.

The Warriors moved into a 111-111 tie when Stephen Jackson hit a jump shot with 3:37 to play. Los Angeles then went on an 11-1 tear, finished off by a Bryant fadeaway jumper with 1:12 to play.

Los Angeles, losers of only 10 games all season, improved its record against Western Conference opponents to 27-4.

Pau Gasol added 24 points and Lamar Odom had 22. Los Angeles made 50 percent of its shots from the field, including 9-of-21 from 3-point range.
