Brothers Henrik and Daniel Sedin combined for six points Thursday night and the Vancouver Canucks got off to a hot start to down Ottawa 5-2.
Henrik Sedin scored the second of Vancouver’s three first-period goals and added three assists. Daniel Sedin contributed a goal and an assist, boosting the Canucks to their seventh win in eight games.
Roberto Luongo stopped 25 shots. He allowed two goals less than four minutes apart in the second period after Vancouver had built a 4-0 lead.
Dany Heatley and Mike Fisher scored goals and Brian Elliott let in four goals on 23 shots for the Senators, who have lost two straight after winning five in a row.
