COL BKB: Duke 78, Maryland 67
Gerald Henderson scored 19 points Wednesday and No. 7 Duke completed a season sweep of Maryland with a 78-67 win over the Terrapins.
It was the Blue Devils’ third straight victory and moved them within a game of league-leading North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Maryland fought Duke on even terms until the final 5 minutes, but consecutive 3-pointers by Henderson and Kyle Singler touched off a late Duke run.
Elliot Williams had 15 for Duke (23-5, 9-4 ACC) and Singler had 13 to go with 10 rebounds.
Maryland, coming off its upset, overtime victory over North Carolina last Saturday, got 19 points from Landon Milbourne. Adrian Bowie contributed 14 for the Terrapins (17-10, 6-7). Greivis Vasquez, who had a triple-double against the Tar Heels, fouled out in the second half against Duke after scoring 10 points.
Duke, which crushed Maryland by 41 points last month in Durham, has downed the Terrapins four straight times.
