Kerry Collins to stay with Titans
Kerry Collins, who led Tennessee to the best regular-season record in the NFL last year, signed a two-year contract with the Titans Friday.
Kerry did a great job for us last year stepping back into the starting role, Tennessee General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said.
He has veteran leadership, tons of game experience and we expect him to continue to play at a high level for us.
Tennessee won its first 10 games of the season, finished with a 13-3 record and then fell to Baltimore in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Collins began his career with the expansion Carolina Panthers in 1995 and has also played for New Orleans, the New York Giants and Oakland. He led the Giants to a Super Bowl appearance in the 2000 season.
He is 14th all-time and second among active players behind Peyton Manning with 37,393 passing yards.
