Ogilvy, Casey to decide Match Play winner
March 1, 2009
Geoff Ogilvy and Paul Casey will square off Sunday for the title at the WGC- Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.
Ogilvy, from Australia, reached the final for the third time in four years with a 4&2 victory Saturday against last year’s runner-up, Stewart Cink.
Casey joined him by beating fellow Englishman Ross Fisher 2&1.
It’ll be fun,
said Ogilvy about Sunday’s matchup. It’s amazing. We both came down a couple weeks ago to check out the course. It’s very coincidental.
Cink and Fisher will play an 18-hole consolation match in the afternoon for third place, while Ogilvy and Casey will play 36 holes beginning Sunday morning.
