Russian Davis Cup team downs Romania

Russia knocked Romania out of the Davis Cup Sunday, with Dmitry Tursunov winning the decisive match.
Tursunov dropped the first set but fought back to defeat Victor Hanescu 4-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in just over four hours, giving his team a winning 3-1 advantage.
With the team victory assured in the best-of-five play, Teimuraz Gabashvili then beat Vicktor Crivoi 6-4, 6-4 for a final 4-1 Russian advantage.
Russia will take on Israel in the quarterfinals in July. The Israelis eliminated Sweden 3-2 Sunday.
