Paris or London to host 2012 Olympics

SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Paris or London will stage the 2012Olympics, International Olympic Committee members decided in avote on Wednesday.

Moscow, New York and Madrid were successively eliminated inthe first three rounds of voting at the IOC session.

The result of the final round will be kept secret until IOCPresident Jacques Rogge announces it in a globally televisedceremony starting at 1130 GMT.

Paris was widely seen as the marginal favorite going intothe vote with London its closest rival.
