Stephen Weiss had a goal and an assist Thursday night, helping the Florida Panthers halt a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Toronto.
Ville Peltonen and Richard Zednik also scored for the Panthers and Tomas Vokoun made 37 saves.
Florida swept the four-game season series from the Maple Leafs.
Florida reached 80 points for the season and is just one point out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Panthers have 11 games remaining.
Mikhail Grabovski scored for the Maple Leafs, who had won three out of four. Martin Gerber stopped 39 shots in the loss.
The game was tied at 1-1 early in the second period but Florida scored twice in a span of 1:27 to take control. Zednik put the Panthers in front at 6:21 with a wrist shot off a pass from David Booth.
Florida avoided equaling its longest losing streak of the season.
