Nick Calathes scored 21 points Friday and led Florida into the quarterfinals of the NIT with a 74-60 decision over Miami.
Florida will take on Penn State next week with the winner of that one advancing to the semifinals in New York.
The Gators scored the game's first 12 points and raced to a 20-4 advantage. The closest Miami could come after that was 11 points with 9 minutes to play in the game.
Alex Tyus added 13 for the Gators (24-10) and Dan Werner had 12. Florida shot 52 percent from the floor and scored 18 points off Miami turnovers.
The Hurricanes (19-12) were led by Dwayne Collins with 17.
Miami's exit leaves only one of the three ACC teams originally in the tournament still playing. Virginia Tech will be in action Saturday against Baylor.
