Philadelphia goaltender Martin Biron blocked 27 Pittsburgh shots Sunday, backstopping a 3-1 Flyers victory over the Penguins.

Simon Gagne scored in the first period, Scott Hartnell in the second and Darroll Powe added an empty-net goal with 28 seconds remaining in the third for the Flyers, who have won two straight games after dropping three of four.

Kris Letang scored in the third period for the Penguins, who had won their previous three contests and are 10-1-2 in their last 13 games.

Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury had 17 saves.

The win moved Philadelphia two points ahead of Pittsburgh for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
