Led by Radek Dvorak’s two goals and Craig Anderson’s 40 saves, the Florida Panthers skated to an important 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Dvorak fired a wrist shot past Philadelphia netminder Martin Biron to give Florida a 2-1 lead at 14:30 of the second period, and capped the scoring with this 14th goal this season (empty net) (unassisted) at 19:27 of the third.

Cory Stillman (15) (power play) and Brett McLean (6) also scored once with McLean snapping a 2-2 tie at 2:38 of the third.

Craig Anderson yielded two goals on 42 shots for the Panthers, who stopped an untimely three-game losing streak to remain in the Eastern Conference playoff chase with 83 points, two back of Montreal.

Philadelphia got one goal each from Jeff Carter (41) and Scott Hartnell (28), both in the second.

Carter added an assist, while Biron surrendered three goals on 27 shots for the Flyers, who had won three in a row.
