Angel McCoughtry had 21 points and 13 rebounds Monday to lead Louisville to its first women’s NCAA Final Four with a 77-60 win over Maryland.
The third-seeded Cardinals (33-4) upset top-seeded Maryland (31-5) with Deseree’ Byrd adding 17 points and Candyce Bingham 15. Louisville will next play the winner of Tuesday’s Oklahoma-Purdue game.
The Terps were led by Marissa Coleman with 18 points, Marah Strickland with 15, and ACC Player of the Year Kristi Toliver with 14.
Coleman scored 42 points two days ago against Vanderbilt.
