Marian Gaborik had two goals and an assist Saturday and the Minnesota Wild beat Columbus 6-3 in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The Blue Jackets — who started the day with a two-point lead over Anaheim and St. Louis in a scramble for the final three spots in the Western Conference — finished the regular season with 92 points and will appear in the post-season for the first time.

The Wild, who were without Gaborik for most of the season because of hip surgery and groin injuries, will miss the post-season for the first time in three seasons. Gaborik, a free agent who holds the franchise scoring record, finished with 13 goals and 10 assists in just 17 games.

Mikko Koivu and Kurtis Foster had a goal and an assist apiece, Martin Skoula and Marc-Andre Bergeron each scored a goal apiece, and Josh Harding stopped 25 shots for the Wild, who finished with a three-game winning streak.

Jared Boll, Derek Dorsett and Rick Nash scored goals and Steve Mason let in five goals on 27 shots for Columbus.
