Chase Headley and Luis Rodriguez both had two RBI Sunday and the San Diego Padres recorded a 6-1 win over the San Francisco Giants.
The victory gave the Padres five win in their first seven contests.
The first of Headley's two hits was a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the third inning off losing pitcher Tim Lincecum. Luis Rodriguez hit a pair of sacrifice flies and Nick Hundley had one RBI and four of San Diego's 13 hits.
Adrian Gonzalez had two hits and one RBI, while winning pitcher Chris Young (2-0) gave up an unearned run and just four hits in seven innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Headley's fifth-inning error led to San Francisco's only run after Eugenio Velez's single.
Lincecum (0-1) was charged with four earned runs and 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings for the Giants, who have lost four of six.
