The Masters championship boosted Angel Cabrera 51 places in the world men’s golf rankings and playoff participants Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell also improved.

Cabrera won the Masters Sunday on the second playoff hole. It was his second major tournament victory and boosted his world golf ranking from 69th to 18th. Perry, who faltered down the stretch Sunday, went from 11th to sixth, while Campbell, who was eliminated on the first playoff hole, went from 76th to 41st.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, who played together Sunday in the marquee pairing, remained first and second in the world. Woods’ advantage over Mickelson tightened slightly.

Sergio Garcia is still third, and No. 4 Geoff Ogilvy and fifth-ranked Padraig Harrington held into their positions from last week.

Perry’s move knocked three golfers down one spot each with Paul Casey now seventh, Vijay Singh eighth and Henrik Stenson ninth. Camilo Villegas is 10th as he was last week.

Robert Karlsson, ninth a week ago, dropped out of the Top 10 to 11th.
