Orlando Hudson was the first Dodger in 39 years to hit for the cycle. He had an infield single in the first inning, a solo homer in the third, an RBI double in the fourth and a lead-off triple in the sixth. The last Dodger to hit for the cycle was Wes Parker in 1970.

Losing pitcher Randy Johnson (0-2) gave up seven runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings.
