NBA: San Antonio 101, Golden State 72

Drew Gooden had 20 points and 15 rebounds Monday in the San Antonio Spurs’ 101-72 shellacking of Golden State.


The victory allowed the Spurs to remain in a tie with the Houston Rockets for first place in the Southwest Division. San Antonio and Houston are tied with the Portland Trail Blazers for the third spot in the Western Conference playoff chase.


Tim Duncan finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Tony Parker scored 17 for San Antonio, which has won three straight.


Anthony Randolph posted an NBA career high 24 points and pulled down 16 rebounds, also a career high, for the Warriors, who lost for the third time in four games.
