Miguel Tejada drove in three runs Tuesday, pushing the Houston Astros to an 8-5 win over Los Angeles, ending the Dodgers’ eight-game winning streak.

Russ Ortiz (1-0) picked up his first win since 2007. He gave up three runs on three hits and walked five over five innings.

Manny Ramirez drove in three runs for the Dodgers, including a two-run homer in the seventh off Jeff Fulchino that cut the Houston lead to 7-5.

The Astros overcame a 3-1 deficit in the third inning with a trio of runs off an RBI double by Tejada and Carlos Lee’s two-run homer off Clayton Kershaw (0-1), who lasted 4 1/3 innings.

The Astros added a pair in the fourth on back-to-back singles by Ivan Rodriguez and Jeff Keppinger, followed up two batters later with Tejada’s two-run single to make it 6-3.

Houston added its eighth run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Kaz Matsui that scored Rodriguez from third.
