Rickie Weeks’s three-run home run in the ninth inning Monday gave Milwaukee a 7-4 win over Pittsburgh for the Brewers’ 16th straight victory over the Pirates.
Mark DiFelice (3-0) got the win with one inning of relief. Trevor Hoffman pitched the ninth for his fourth save.
Matt Capps (0-2) blew the save and took the loss for Pittsburgh after giving up three hits, including Weeks’s homer. Pittsburgh starter Paul Maholm allowed two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and one walk over 7 1/3 innings.
Nate McLouth was 3-for-5 for Pittsburgh, which has lost six of its last seven games.
